This Privacy Policy describes how Spider Solitaire (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Data Collection

Data We Collect

The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All game data, including your game progress, statistics, and settings, is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers.

Data Collected by Third-Party Services

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect and process certain data, including but not limited to:

• Device identifiers (e.g., advertising ID)
• IP address
• General location data (e.g., city-level)
• App usage data and interaction with ads
• Device information (e.g., device model, operating system version)

App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On iOS 14.5 and later, the App requests your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before allowing third-party services to track your activity across other apps and websites. You can change your tracking preference at any time in your device’s Settings under Privacy > Tracking.

Consent Management (GDPR / CCPA)

The App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to manage consent for data collection and personalized advertising:

• GDPR (European Economic Area): A consent form is presented to users in the EEA, allowing them to choose whether to allow personalized advertising, non-personalized advertising, or no advertising.
• CCPA (California): Users in California are provided with the option to opt out of the sale of their personal information, in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act.

You may update your consent preferences at any time through the consent management dialog within the App.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information.

Information We Collect

As described above, the App itself does not collect personal data. However, Google AdMob, our third-party advertising partner, may collect the following categories of personal information as defined under the CCPA:

• Identifiers: Device advertising ID, IP address
• Internet or other electronic network activity information: App usage data, interaction with ads
• Geolocation data: General (city-level) location derived from IP address
• Inferences: Ad interest profiles generated by Google based on collected data

Your CCPA Rights

As a California resident, you have the right to:

1. Right to Know: Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you, the sources of collection, the business purpose for collecting the information, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared.
2. Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
3. Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information that we or our third-party partners maintain about you.
4. Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: Direct a business that sells or shares your personal information to stop selling or sharing your information (“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”).
5. Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: Request that we limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information (which may include precise geolocation data) to purposes necessary for providing the services.
6. Right to Non-Discrimination: You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you services, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your rights.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

While the App does not directly sell or share your personal information, Google AdMob may share device identifiers and usage data with advertising partners, which may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA/CPRA’s broad definitions.

You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information through the following methods:

• In-App Consent Management: The App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to provide a consent management dialog. You can update your preferences at any time through this dialog within the App.
• Google Ad Settings: Visit Google’s Ad Settings to manage your advertising preferences and opt out of personalized advertising.
• Device Advertising Settings:
  • iOS: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and disable tracking for the App. You can also enable “Limit Ad Tracking” under Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.
  • Android: Go to Settings > Privacy > Ads, and select “Delete advertising ID” or “Opt out of Ads Personalization”.

How to Submit a CCPA Request

To exercise your CCPA rights, please contact us at the email address provided in the “Contact Us” section below. We will verify your identity before processing your request and respond within 45 days as required by law. If we need additional time, we may extend the response period by an additional 45 days (up to 90 days total), in which case we will notify you of the extension and the reason for it within the initial 45-day period.

Cookies

The App itself does not use cookies. However, the Google AdMob SDK may use cookies or similar technologies (such as mobile advertising identifiers) to serve and measure advertisements. These are managed by Google in accordance with their privacy practices.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is configured to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App’s third-party services, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Data Retention

Since the App does not collect or transmit personal data to external servers, there is no server-side data retention. Local game data remains on your device until you uninstall the App or clear the App’s data.
